CRMF Cleanroom Construction Industry Day
Industry Day Overview
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory invites interested contractors, cleanroom specialists, and construction firms to participate in the CRMF Cleanroom Construction Industry Day.
The purpose of this virtual event is to provide an overview of the Cryomodule Repair and Maintenance Facility (CRMF) Cleanroom Construction Project, anticipated procurement approach, project scope, schedule, and upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP). Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the project requirements and procurement process and ask questions regarding the planned solicitation.
This event is intended for firms with experience in cleanroom construction, commissioning, certification, contamination-controlled environments, specialty process utilities, and related construction services.
Registration is required.
About the Project
Cleanroom Construction
The CRMF Cleanroom Construction Project includes construction, installation, testing, commissioning, certification, and turnover of approximately 2,200 square feet of cleanroom and support areas, including approximately 1,100 square feet of ISO Class 4 cleanroom space.
The project scope includes:
- ISO Class 4 cleanroom construction
- Cleanroom support area construction
- Mechanical, electrical, controls, and utility integration
- Testing, balancing, startup, and commissioning
- Cleanroom certification activities
- Training and turnover documentation
- Optional Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) system installation and commissioning
The selected subcontractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, project management, quality control, testing, certification, and closeout services necessary to deliver a fully operational cleanroom facility.
Planned Procurement Approach
SLAC anticipates issuing a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing a Best Value Trade-Off (BVTO) source selection methodology.
The procurement is anticipated to result in a single Firm-Fixed-Price subcontract for cleanroom construction services.
Proposals will be evaluated based upon technical, safety, experience, business, and price considerations as described in the solicitation documents.
