Suspicious or Fraudulent Activity
If you receive a suspicious solicitation, please immediately contact SLAC Procurement by emailing us at suppliers@slac.stanford.edu.
You should also report incidents to the Internet Crime Complaint Center and submit a complaint.
Fraudulent Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Purchase Orders (POs) purporting to be from the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) are being circulated across the country.
If you receive an RFP or PO from SLAC, please confirm that the contact name and information originate from a legitimate SLAC procurement source.
Illegitimate solicitations have some common elements. Please look closely for the following fraud indicators:

If the RFP or PO:
- Is from a contact OR information you do not recognize as being associated with SLAC.
- Came from an email domain other than “@slac.stanford.edu.”
- Was sent via fax.
NOTE: SLAC does not use a fax-based solicitation or purchasing process. Legitimate SLAC Procurement documents are never distributed via fax.
OR
You have never done business with SLAC but received an RFP or PO from SLAC or a SLAC entity.
